About GatewayMatch.ca

GatewayMatch.ca was created in 2008 by Roy Brown and Martina Glos. We are based out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

While there are many online dating and social networking sites out there, we wanted to develop one that gave something back to both the members of our site and various charitable or non-profit organizations.

Both of us have been members of service organizations for many years and have worked in the non-profit sector. In 2004, the Lions Gateway Club Discount Card Program was developed to provide a means of fundraising for our Lions Club as well as community organizations. The program has evolved and is now called Your Gateway Club to include all service organizations around the world.

So why a dating site you ask? Well.....Why not?

We are committed to developing ways to give back to the community and direct money towards charitable initiatives. We understand that there are many dating sites to choose from and it is hard to know which one suits your needs.

We're offering one that is completely FREE but also has a Rewards Program where the member collects points that can be redeemed for gift cards on goods and services (as advertised on our site). 50% of this "Vision Membership" is donated directly to a service organization, charity or community group in need of funds.
